When I think of spring I automatically think of pastel colors and flowers. For me, living in the east coast and having so many cold days the beginning of spring brings me so much joy I immediately want to incorporate all the pastel colors into our home. We have a small apartment that I keep with pretty light colors year-round but I still enjoy incorporating these small affordable updates to make it reflect spring.
These 5 Easy Ways To Decorate For Spring On a Budget include:
Plants and Florals
Take a look around your space and see where you can add some spring flowers and greenery with plants. I find the local grocery store starts to carry more tulips in the spring and you can also incorporate the classics such as roses and hydrangeas into the mix. Think of adding florals to your coffee table, dining table, kitchen island, bedroom night stands, and bathroom sink. I know many people are against this, including many interior designers, but I’m all about mixing real flowers and plants with faux ones (not together) which helps you stay on budget and makes it a little easier to maintain.
Tablecloths and Napkins
I love a good tablescape and there are some great affordable tablecloths and runners you can purchase and use year-round. I am linking a couple affordable options I personally own that I continue to use throughout the year, this one I used for my husband’s birthday in July (sold out but similar here) and this one I used for Thanksgiving.
Warm Woven Elements
A space always looks super chic with natural elements and I love woven accents in the spring. Raffia, rattan, and wicker are all very popular to find. I have these placemats I use all the time that would be perfect for your assortment if you don’t own them already. Other things you can add are woven trays, ring holders, and wrapped hurricanes.
Accents + Easter Decor
You can easily add a quick refresh to your space to reflect the lighter season by adding new throw pillow covers in your living room, a spring wreath, and bunny figurings throughout. I just got these moss bunnies and added a little blue ribbon. These chocolate eggs are my favs during Easter and the shimmer ones are perfect to put in a bowl as decoration and to pick on once in a while (although these only lasted three days). You can also find bunny pot figurings you can plant smaller pants in to add to your decor. If you have littles don’t forget the easter baskets and to get supplies to decorate some eggs as a family 🙂
