Why are people so obsessed with fall? Don’t get me wrong, it’s a wonderful time of year, I just find it funny to see how obsessed everyone gets. Or perhaps it’s Instagram’s fault for allowing us all to share the best highlights of our lives, ignoring all the other ones, and the freshly crisp fall décor that comes with it. Consumerism at its finest.
Here are a few things on my mind:
Season-to-season changes

Ever since I moved to the suburbs, seasons and holidays feel different. I want to celebrate them more. Last year during this time, I was pregnant, so my energy level was off. But this year, I think I want to decorate a little more with pumpkins and mums. I just need to remember to water my outdoor plants. I know, I know; they won’t water themselves.
Watching Gilmore Girls for all the fall feels
I watched this show for the very first time a few years ago, so I was a tad late to the game. I was truly missing out. It is such a GOOD show and totally gives me those warm, cozy fall feels. It is such a great show to re-watch during this time of year. Maybe it’s because so many of the episodes take place during autumn, or maybe because I now live in Connecticut. I’m watching it right now on Netflix as we speak. Can I just say how sad I get when I finish a show I’m loving? Do you ever get that feeling? I have honestly not found another show like this. It was so well written, and I love how they talk so fast. Rory and Lorelai did a marvelous job in the fast-talking department, and it’s been said their episode scripts were roughly 80 pages long when, a script is around 40-50 pages long, on-average.
Visiting Terrain

For the longest time, I’ve been wanting to visit Terrain, and I finally did! My friend Lauren and I went for lunch (with baby Colette) and we loved it. It’s located in Westport, a town not too far from where I live. The store has a restaurant, as well, which was delicious. If you’re a gardener or love plants you will love Terrain. It’s beautifully decorated and celebrates seasons very nicely. Great décor accent pieces would make for good gifts. Highly recommend you check out the store or their website. They are owned by Anthropologie, so it has a very similar vibe.
Archetypes by Meghan

If you’ve been following me for a while, you know I’ve always liked Meghan Markle, ever since her early years acting on Suits (you can catch the first season here). My husband and I loved watching this show together. I will say this, I may not agree with everything she has done, but I have huge respect and admiration for her. The way she’s been treated by the British press has been awful, and I’m glad she’s finding her voice. Recently, she released a podcast with Spotify called Archetypes where she interviews recognizable women and they discuss words which have been stereotyped in society. It’s very interesting, and you get to learn more about these women. She also brings in an expert to discuss the word, as well, so it’s also educational. Highly recommend.
The Perfect fall coat for looking royal

You all know I love royalty-inspired fashion. So when I find something that looks very royal, I get excited. This is what happened with this wool double-breasted coat from Mango. It fits like a glove, and the length lends itself to a very elegant look.
Additional fall pieces I’m loving
I bought a couple more pieces from Mango that I’m really excited to wear. Here you can find what I ordered. I kept most of the items with the exception of the short tweed dress and tweed skirt. Loving the button downs and the blazers. You can never go wrong with a blazer!
This is all for now, I promise I am going to make more of an effort to get these out more often.
