I’ve loved makeup from a young age, always in the lookout to see what products celebrities wore on the red carpet, in movies, and tv shows I love. I remember buying the same lipstick Jennifer Aniston wore while playing Rachel Green in Friends, it’s called Paramount by MAC cosmetics. I also went and purchased all the makeup products Kate Middleton wore for her wedding day when they were released by Bobbi Brown and I have a few beauty products loved by Meghan Markle. Yes, I am a Royal fan girl 🙂 These aren’t all my favorite products but what I’ve been reaching out to create my everyday look that’s perfect for summer.

Prepping the Skin

Tatcha Water Cream For Face
Neutrogena Hydro Boost Face Cream
Amore Pacific Eye Gel
Cetaphil Eye Gel-Cream

I don’t use many products when it comes to skincare. I probably should as I approach my mid 30s, it’s definitely on my things to do this year. These are some of the skincare products I love to use before putting on my makeup. This Tatcha moisturizer is amazing for oily skin and I switch it up with this Neutrogena moisturizer which is a lot less expensive and works wonders too. I have very dry and dark under eyes and I find this Amore Pacific Eye Treatment to be very hydrating. If you don’t want to spend as much this Cetaphil Hydrating Eye Cream I really like too (and currently using). Two other items that are amazing and cult favorites: The Drunk Elephant Vitamin C Serum and the Fresh Soy Face Wash (I get the value size because it’s that good).

Applying Foundation + Concealer

I recently discovered the Ilia Super Serum Skin tint and I’m obsessed. It melts into your skin, has an SPF 40 (so no need for an extra step in your makeup routine) and is made with clean ingredients which makes me feel better about my skin. For concealer I’ve been using Smashbox 24 Hour Concealer and it lasts all day. I set my undereye with Charlotte Tilbury’s Setting Powder and brush a little of Chanel’s Foundation Powder on the T-Zone. It’s also a very creamy formula so it goes on easily and dries nicely. Throughout the years I’ve been very loyal to Armani Power Fabric Longwear High Cover Foundation (similar to the popular Luminious Silk one but for oily skin). For a day look that needs more coverage I like Tarte’s Amazonian Day Tinted Moisturizer.

Bronzer and blush always makes me happy. I am guilty of over blushing at times. I just love how it makes someone look so refreshed and sun kissed. For this look I applied the Ilia Multi-Stick in “At Last,” followed by a dap of Pale Pink blush by Bobbi Brown. This was a trick I learned from Bobbi Brown. To this day, I think she’s the queen of the natural makeup tips. For bronzer I used Tom Ford’s in Terra but I’ve also been a fan of Hoola and Nars. Fun fact: Kate Middleton used Bobbi Brown’s blush in Pale Pink for her wedding.

For lips I used the Lip Cheat by Charlotte Tilbury followed by Dior Lip Glow. For glosses I really love Chanel moisturizing glossimer colors. I switch it up with MAC Lipglass since those are less expensive. My go-to lipstick color is Bobbi Brown’s Sandwash Pink and I really like Charlotte Tilbury colors.

Defining The Brows and Eyes

I’ve come to realize that a good shaped eyebrow can really make a makeup look stand out. I haven’t gotten my eyebrows treaded in over a year. This means I’ve had to learn to tweeze less and add more shape with makeup. I begin with Anastasia’s Brow Wiz, followed by Nars Coconut Grove powder, and finish with Beauty Counter’s eyebrow gel. It seems like a lot of steps but one builds on the other nicely to create my desired look.

I have tons of eyeshadows, but, for a more natural look, I always come back to these two shadows by Bobbi Brown. The color bone for all over the lid and brown bone and Slate for the crease. I line my upper lid with Stila’s liquid liner and bottom with Charlotte Tilbury’s classic brown eye pencil.
